Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

We know nobody actually enjoys reading privacy policies, so here's the short version: Cousin Server Manager is a locally-installed app, your server data stays on your machine, and we collect the bare minimum needed to sell you a license and support you. The details are below.

1. What stays on your machine

Cousin Server Manager runs locally on your own Windows machine. Your server files, save data, world/map backups, player profile backups, RCON logs, mod lists, and plugin configs are all stored and processed locally - none of that is uploaded to us or any third party by the app itself.

2. What we do collect

When you buy a license, contact support, or join our community, we collect a small amount of information to make that possible:

  • Email address - collected during checkout (via PayPal) so we can issue and email you your license key, and so we can reach you about activation issues or support requests.
  • Payment information - handled entirely by PayPal. We never see or store your full card number, expiry date, or CVC. We only receive confirmation that a payment was completed, along with basic order details (plan, amount, date).
  • License key & activation status - stored on our backend so the app can check whether a license is valid and which features it unlocks.
  • Support conversations - if you message us on Discord or email, we keep that conversation to help resolve your issue, same as any support channel.

3. Website analytics

This marketing website may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are popular (e.g. page views, referral source). We don't sell this data, and it isn't linked to your license or in-app activity.

4. Third-party services we rely on

  • PayPal - processes all payments and subscriptions. See PayPal's Privacy Statement.
  • Discord - our community and primary support channel. Anything you share there is subject to Discord's own privacy policy.
  • CurseForge / SteamCMD / AsaApiLoader - the app connects directly to these third-party services on your behalf (e.g. to search mods or download server files) using your own machine's connection - we don't proxy or log that traffic ourselves.

5. Data retention

We keep license and order records for as long as needed to support your purchase (including handling renewals, refund/activation disputes, and legal/accounting requirements). Support conversations are kept for a reasonable period to maintain context if you reach out again.

6. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (for example, after a license has expired and you no longer need support history retained). Just reach out using the contact details below and we'll take care of it.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle data, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.

8. Contact
